Context
A GEO retainer only closes if the buyer's per-deal value dwarfs the retainer, because the entire pitch rests on "one extra client a month pays for this" (../sales/pitch-script.md). Broad outreach to UAE SMEs would mostly reach businesses for whom a $1,000–$4,000/mo retainer is a significant line item and one recovered lead does not obviously cover it.
The selection criteria that follow from that:
- High Customer Acquisition Cost, so missing one lead is a real loss.
- Large per-deal value, so breakeven is one client rather than dozens.
- Buyers who genuinely ask LLMs open-ended, comparative, location-scoped questions — high-consideration purchases.
- Existing Google Ads spend, so the conversation is about redirecting budget already committed rather than finding new budget.
Decision
Concentrate outreach on four UAE verticals:
| Vertical | Deal-value target (as stated in the source) |
|---|---|
| Cosmetic surgery clinics | 1 converted patient = $7,000–$10,000 net profit |
| Luxury & exotic car rental | 1 rental = $3,000–$5,000 revenue |
| Real estate agencies & developers | 1 property closed = $11,000+ commission |
| High-end medical & dental clinics | 1 treatment plan = $5,000–$12,000 revenue |
Each has a documented example AI query in ../strategy/target-markets.md, and all four share the same query shape: geographically scoped, superlative or comparative, attribute-qualified. That shape is the reusable qualifier for evaluating any future vertical.
Accepting this also accepts a non-technical buyer — clinic directors and agency owners — which is why the pitch script bans jargon and why "digital receptionist" replaces "MCP tool".
Consequences
- Positive:
- Outreach can be specific and researched per prospect, which is what makes the templates' opening claims land.
- Breakeven arithmetic is easy for the buyer to verify in their head.
- Matching the geographic scope of these queries is exactly what the existing GEO layer already publishes — Dubai Marina, Dubai, UAE signals in
components/GeoSchema.tsxandpublic/llms.txt. - Verticals with adjacent needs (booking, inventory, listings) create a natural path into larger custom engineering work.
- Trade-offs / costs:
- These verticals are not software buyers, so they do not match the site's positioning as a Flutter/Next.js development agency. Related to the unresolved ADR-0005.
- Healthcare marketing in the UAE carries DHA advertising constraints; claims about clinics need care. The schema already signals DHA/DED alignment, but that is not the same as compliance review.
- No reference client exists in any of the four; the demo runs on jsglobtech.com itself (ADR-0007), and a clinic will eventually want a clinic case study.
- The natural in-chat action differs per vertical, and only lead capture is built. Availability checks, listing queries, and viewing bookings are unbuilt (
../integrations/mcp-server.md). - The breakeven line fails for Tier 3 against car rental — the lowest deal value ($3,000) does not cover a $4,000+/mo retainer (
../strategy/kpis.md).
- Follow-ups:
- Write outreach templates for real estate and dental; only cosmetic and car rental exist.
- Consider a vertical field on the lead schema —
project_typecurrently flattens every GEO lead intogeo_ai_integration. - Land one reference client per vertical, starting with whichever replies first.
- Check DHA advertising rules before scaling clinic outreach.
